How to set up your RoyalProxy proxy
Every RoyalProxy product connects through one gateway with a proxy username and password. This guide shows where to find them, how the username options work and how to fix common errors.
Steps
1
Sign up with a username
Create an account with a username and a password. Up to 3 accounts can be opened per IP address.
2
Top up your balance
Add USD balance with crypto in the secure payment window. The minimum is $50, and your balance does not expire.
3
Buy a plan
Choose unlimited, residential, static ISP or datacenter and pay from your balance. The order shows activating until the network turns it on.
4
Copy connection details
Open the dashboard and copy the host, port, proxy username and proxy password. Add username options to pick a country, a city or a sticky session.
What connection details do I need?
You need four values: the host gate.royalproxy.online, port 6100 for HTTP and HTTPS or 6200 for SOCKS5, your proxy username (for example rpexample1) and your proxy password. All of them are shown in the dashboard.
The proxy password is separate from the password you use to log in to RoyalProxy. You can regenerate it in the dashboard whenever you like; after that, put the new one into every tool that uses the proxy.
- Host
- gate.royalproxy.online
- HTTP, HTTPS port
- 6100
- SOCKS5 port
- 6200
- Sticky session
- Up to 60 minutes
How do username options work?
You add options to the end of your proxy username, each one starting with a hyphen, for example rpexample1-zone-res-cc-us-city-new_york-sid-job42a-ttl-30. The password stays the same whichever options you use.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| -zone- | Selects the product: unl for unlimited, res for residential, isp for static ISP and dc for datacenter. |
| -cc- | Sets the exit country with a lowercase 2 letter code, such as us or jp. |
| -city- | Sets the city in lowercase with underscores in place of spaces, such as new_york, and works in many countries. |
| -sid- | Keeps the same IP for all requests that share this session ID. Use any letters and numbers you like. |
| -ttl- | Sets how long a sticky session keeps its IP, from 1 to 60 minutes. |
Build your username and copy the code
Choose options to see the username and a ready example in your language.
A new IP is used for every request.
This example uses a sample username. Your own username and password are in the dashboard.
Proxy username
rpexample1-zone-res-cc-uscurl -x http://gate.royalproxy.online:6100 \ -U "rpexample1-zone-res-cc-us:your_password" \ https://ipinfo.io/json
Example response
{ "ip": "203.0.113.134", "country": "US", "city": "New York" }Example response from an IP in United States, New York.
Should I use rotating or sticky sessions?
Without -sid, the IP rotates on every request, which suits scraping and rank checks where each request stands alone. This is what the gateway does by default.
Add -sid when a task needs one IP for several steps, such as a login followed by the pages behind it. Add -ttl to choose how many minutes, up to 60, that IP is kept.
Can I connect without a password?
Yes. Add up to 10 server IPv4 addresses under Allowed IPs in the dashboard, and requests from those servers are accepted without the proxy password.
How do I test the connection?
Run curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@gate.royalproxy.online:6100 https://api.ipify.org in a terminal, with your own username and password in place of USERNAME and PASSWORD. The reply is the IP your request used, and running it twice without -sid should show two different IPs.
How do I use the proxy in browsers and tools?
In a browser, open the proxy settings or a proxy extension and enter the host, port, username and password. For SOCKS5, choose SOCKS5 as the type and use port 6200.
Scrapers, HTTP libraries and automation tools usually take a proxy URL such as http://username:password@gate.royalproxy.online:6100. Put the username options inside the username part of that URL.

Common errors and how to fix them
407 Proxy Authentication Required
The username or password does not match. Copy both again from the dashboard, check the options for typos and update your tool if you regenerated the password.
Connection refused or timeout
Check the host gate.royalproxy.online and the port: 6100 for HTTP and HTTPS, 6200 for SOCKS5. Make sure the protocol in your tool matches the port and that your firewall allows outgoing connections.
Wrong country
Check that -cc- uses a lowercase 2 letter code and that city names use underscores. Static ISP and datacenter IPs stay in the country you chose when you bought them.
IP changes too often
Add -sid- with a session ID and -ttl- with the minutes you need, up to 60. Send the same sid in every request that should share one IP.
Plan not active yet
New orders show activating until the network side turns them on. If an order cannot be activated, it is cancelled and the full amount returns to your balance.
